THAU-A crowned champions of 1st MNCA Women's One Day Trophy

Imphal, February 15 2022:
THAU-A (Thangmeiband) inflicted a crushing 10-wicket defeat on PTRC (Patsoi) in the final of the inaugural MNCA Women's Oney Day Trophy 2021-22 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
PTRC who chose to bat first were reduced to 133/10 in 31.4 overs as the side's total revolved around Ranjita Koijam's fine batting effort that earned her 73 off 90 balls.
Ronibala Thokchom's six-over spell did the bulk of work of dismissing the PTRC top order, with openers Ranjita (73) and Kiranbala (9), Rk Linthoingambi (6) and Bidyarani (0) falling prey to her (Ronibala) brilliant bowling display.
Kiranbal Haorungbam and Milan Yambem did their bit with two wickets each and Waikhom Ganga took one.
Then it was up to the opening duo of Seterny Brahmacharimayum and Kalpana Keisham who steadily guided THAU-A to a comprehensive 10-wicket victory for a memorable title triumph.
Seterny 56 and Kalpana finished with an unbeaten 66 .
Ronibala Thokchom, who took four wickets, was named the woman of the final match.
Winners THAU-A walked away with Rs 30,000 in prize money and runners-up PTRC received Rs 20,000 .
Other individual prize winning players were Rajkumari Linthoingambi (woman of the series � 306 runs & 6 wickets), Brahmacharimayum Seterny (highest run scorer -400 runs), Thoudam Mangalsana (highest wicket taker � 12 wickets) and Priyanshee Hanglem (most emerging player � 8 wickets in 4 innings) .
