College of Nursing clarifies to AIMS allegation

Guidelines issued by Indian Nursing Council were used in appointment of principal for the College of Nursing, Lamphelpat as the college does not have set guidelines for appointment of the same.
M Nalinibala, principal of College of Nursing clarified this during a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today in response to the allegation made by Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) that guidelines were not followed during appointment.
She added that under the guidelines issued by Indian Nursing Council, 10 years of teaching experience is required but she had joined the School of GNM in 1981, which has been upgraded into the College of Nursing in 2012 .
The Government had passed an order making her the vice-principal and later after she was appointed as principal after taking into account that she was indeed qualified for the post, M Nalinibala added.
