ADC schools awarded

Introducing a new technique of promoting, encouraging and motivating school students under ADC Senapati, CEO Rang Peter today awarded five performing schools with incentives.
For the first time, the young CEO awarded the schools based on their academic performances and regularity for the academic year 2013-14 with the computer sets, printers, chairs, book shelf, water filter and LPG sets.
The awarded schools were Senapati Thong UJB School, Khongdei Simphung UJB School, Koide Rafii Primary School, Katomei Center Primary School and Tunggam UJB School.
In the presence of respective school Headmistress, Education officials and ADC staff, the incentives considered trophy of performances is something to inspire other less performing schools.
Interestingly, all the best five schools awarded are being administered and managed by Headmistress.
According to the CEO Rang Peter, the incentives would be provided to those schools that would be inspected and graded as per their academic performances in future.
While calling on the school officials to effectively implement the SSA project, the MCS officer also lauded Deputy Commissioner Jacintha Lazarus, who is said to be responsible for streamlining the SSA/RTE projects in the district.
Sources said that the lady IAS officer has strictly instructed the ZEOs and CEOs of Senapati and Kangpokpi ADCs to adhere to the rules and norms without compromising poor performances.
It is also learnt that the DC has instructed the CEOs and ZEOs to conduct surprise inspections of schools to strictly monitor midday meal, distribution of school uniforms, distribution and availability of text books in time and serious monitoring of ZEO and ADC schools.
CEO Peter while calling on the ADC schools to perform well warned that regular inspections of schools would begin soon after the summer monsoon vacations to check attendance of the teachers and implementation of SSA projects and its results.
The officer had also conducted a massive inspection tour in some villages along with ADC Education officials some months back.
