A 14-day entrepreneurship skill development programme on floriculture under BRGF of Chandel district, organised by the Garden Care in collaboration with SIRD, has kick started at Manipur Press Club from today.
33 persons are participating in the skill development programme.
Chandel ADC LN Kashung, former Agriculture Department Director B Haridas Sharma, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) president Wangkhemcha Shyamjai and Horticulture and Soil Conservation Agriculture Officer K Devdutta Sharma graced the opening function as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
LN Kashung while speaking at the function said that the skill development programme was organised under Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF), which is a 100 per cent Central Government sponsored scheme.
Floriculture is a good and easy occupation, where one can practice in a piece of land, NL Kashung said that floriculture market is emerging everywhere.
