Union Ministers urged for better health care, education facilities

State BJP general secretary (Organisation), Sh Premananda today met Union Health Minister Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Zubin Irani separately in New Delhi and urged them to take steps towards improving the current condition of the State's health care and education sectors.
Premananda called on Dr Harsha Vardhan at his office chamber at Nirmal Bhavan at 11:30 am.
During the meeting, the State BJP leader apprised the Union Health Minister of the present status of the health care sector in Manipur.
According sources of State BJP, Dr Vardhan was told that many people of the State go to other States of the country for medical treatment because of lack of hi-tech health care facilities, thus, a huge amount of money is being drained away to other States.

Premananda urged the Union Minister to focus on improving the health care sector of the State and employing super specialist doctors at RIMS, JNIMS and other district hospitals.
The Union Health Minister was also urged to take appropriate steps to ensure 24-hour health care service in the State, apart from ensuring regular supply of electric supply to all health centres.
Dr Vardhan assured the State BJP leader of taking up necessary steps towards fulfilling the demands during the meeting, the sources said.
Later in the day, Premananda called on HRD Minister Smriti Zubin Irani at around 1 pm and urged to take necessary action and formulate a policy for improvement of the education sector in Manipur.
He pointed out to the HRD Minister that out of nearly 27 lakh populations; over 5 lakh educated young people in Manipur are still unemployed and urged the Union Minister to introduce job-oriented education in the State.
Moreover, the State BJP leader impressed upon the Union HRD Minister to give emphasis on proper implementation of SSA and RMSA schemes in the State.
During the meeting, Irani promised the State BJP leader that she will consider his proposals, sources added.
