COCOMI backs UNC's blockade

Imphal, July 13 2026: COCOMI has decided to support the ongoing United Naga Council's (UNC) inter-district economic blockade with effect from today.

All sections of people have been suffering untold misery since May 3, 2023 .

Amidst this untold suffering, six Naga civilians were abducted, tortured and murdered in the most barbaric manner, said COCOMI .

Again, when the people had been protesting demanding justice for the six Naga civilians, six Meitei houses were set ablaze at Kanto Sabal.

It's time to teach the Kuki narco-terrorists a lesson, the COCOMI said in a press release.

Pledging support to the UNC's inter-district economic blockade, the committee has appealed to all sections of people to support the UNC's blockade.
