NIT team reaches Delhi

Under the initiative of IGAR (S), a National integration tour to Delhi and Agra was flagged off on October 4 from Manipur.
The tour was organized by 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) with an aim to provide exposure of cultural heritage, traditions and infrastructural development of the country to the children of Manipur who reached New Delhi on October 8, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
The tour team comprising 24 students visited Red Fort where they were briefed about the glorious history of Mughal dynasty by the staff of the fort.
Thereafter, utilizing the world-class Hoho bus service, students were taken to Akshardham temple, where they witnessed the exquisite light and sound show.
On October 9, the students received a rare honour to visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The excitement and inquisitiveness were quite evident in the eyes of students while witnessing the residence of Head of the State and also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, said the press release.
Continuing with their journey, the students visited India Gate, Lotus Temple and ISKCON Temple on their second day of stay in New Delhi.
