MNP keen on equal development for all

Imphal, October 11 2015:
A newly floated civil society organization, Meitei Nationalist Party (MNP) has advocated for equal development for all and special care for people inhabiting in border areas of Manipur.
There is need to make every possible effort to bring in equal development for both the plains and hills to safeguard the integrity of Manipur on equal footing, MNP founder president B Angousana said at a press meet at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul on Sunday.
He also said special care is needed for all people living in border areas of the State.
Angousana said MNP was set up on September 30, 2015 in view of the current fragile state of affairs in Manipur.
The MNP leader added that the Meiteis need Scheduled Tribe status, observing that imbalance in development of plains and hills will lead to long suffering in future.
He also expressed concerned about the Naga peace accord, demanding immediate disclosure of the details of the agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) .
