GTV at Tamei Sub-division, Tamenglong District

Tamenglong, November 03 2018:
District administration of Tamenglong conducted 'Go to village' programme at Khundong Khunkhaiba Part 1 village at Tamei sub-division, Tamenlong District yesterday.
Five villages namely Khundong Khunkhaiba Part 1, Khundong Khunkhaiba Part 2, Nurathen, Tainan and Atang Khullen were covered in the mission.
Robertson, sub-divisional officer of Tamei gave a brief introductory speech of 'Khungang Chatse' to the villagers who have attended the programme while more than 20 (twenty) LPG connection and cooking gas sets were distributed to some of the beneficiaries of Khundong Khunkhaiba Part 1, Khundong Khunkhaiba Part 2, Nurathen, Tainan and Atang Khullen villagers under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojna (PMUY) in association with M/S Tousem Indane Gramin Vitrak Gas Agency Limited Tamei.
As part of the mission, woolen blanket were also distributed to some of the Senior Citizens of the villagers while the medical department conducted general OPD and distributed free medicines to the people who have attended the programme.
ST certificates, domicile, permanent residential and income certificates were also distributed to the villagers during the programme.
Some Govt departments who took part in the programme including DSWO, MSPDCL, CAF & PD, Forest, Agriculture, CSC, PHED, Ujjwala, Biometrics, Aadhaar, Labour, Education, DIC, Sericulture, Handloom and Medical explained the various benefits of Govt schemes and projects to the people as part of the GTV mission.
In the progtamme, chairman and secretary of the concern village submitted various memorandum and petitions to the Deputy commissioner of Tamenlong Ravinder Singh (IAS) who have attended the programme as chief guest.
The villagers also expressed gratitude to the Govt officials for taking up the initiatives which has benefited them in various ways through many welfare schemes while ensuring timely delivery of the services.
More than 800 people including village leaders, CSOs, NGOs and church leaders attended the programme yesterday.
