6th WYLCO Cup Water Polo : CSC set up final date with WYLCO

Central Swimming Club (CSC), Ningthem Pukhri Mapal will lock horns with hosts WYLCO, Kongba in the final of the ongoing 6th WYLCO Cup Water Polo Championship 2018 tomorrow.
CSC which sealed two wins back to back last day produced another fine performance today in the semi-final against KWPC to secure a huge 13-3 win.
Alex led the scoring for CSC today making a total of 1 goals including 4 goals in the first quarter while L Amarjit scored one goal each in the remaining three quarters.
A Nongthang netted 3 goals for CSC in the third quarter while L Yaiphaba and M Jhalajit scored 1 goal each.
KWPC's goals were scored by L Lenis, L Balenjit and M Christopher.
The second semi-final match of the tournament witnessed WYLCO, Kongba trounce KYO 21-9 to set up final date with CSC.
L Bibekananda, Th Goldson and L Dhanajit scored one goal each for the hosts in the first quarter while the Th Goldson, L Baleshor scored 2 goals each in the second quarter.
Sagar Singh also added a goal for the winning side in the second quarter.
Th Goldson and Sagar scored 2 goals each in the third quarter while Ng Sovin scored 4 goals after L Bankim added a single.
L Bibekananda scored a single in the last quarter while Sovin and L Bankim scored two goals each for WYLCO.
Rikash and Chingamba scored one goal each for the losing side while M Thouba and M Priyananda scored 5 and 2 goals respectively to make it 9-21 at the end.
In the.
last league match played earlier, KYO and WYLCO played out a 7-7 draw.
The final match of the tournament will be graced by Th Bishwajit Singh, Minister PWD; Nahakpam Indrajit Singh, MLA Kshetrigao AC; Kachungla Golmei, Zilla Parishad Member, Bamon Kampu Gram Panchayat; Mutum Kumarjit Singh, Addl SP (Ops), Imphal East; L Iboyaima, President, WYLCO as dignitaries.
Members of Bamon Kampu Gram Panchayat, Moirangthem Dhaneshor and Moirangthem Ongbi Ibema Leima along with Up Pradhan of the gram panchayat, Nongthombam Akeshor will also attend the closing ceremony as special guests.
