Prize distribution ceremony held

Winners of the essay competition on the topic "Total Eradication of Corruption in Manipur" were honoured in a prize distribution ceremony held at the premises of Mother's Pride Academy School, Kwasiphai today.
The essay competition was jointly organised by SBI branch, Bishnupur and Mother's Pride Academy as part of "Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2018" which was held from October 29 to November 3.Branch Manager SBI Bishnupur, T Junglet, Principal Mother's Pride Academy School, Kh Basanta Meitei and the Co-founder of the said school, K Devendra Singh attended the ceremony as dignitaries.
Salam Sangeeta took the top spot of the competition which was participated by 62 students while Salam Joyshree and Irengbam Gangular took the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively.
Saying that students have huge role to play in making a State free from corruption, T Junglet urged the students to distance themselves from any activities related to corruption.
He also said that awareness programmes are required in various schools and colleges to sensitize the young students about the ill effects of corruption on society.
At the end of the function, an oath taking ceremony was also held to make Manipur free from corruption.
