Shyamkumar asks NMC to start repairing Nambol Bazar

MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar has today instructed the officials of Nambol Municipal Council to start the repairing work of Nambol Bazar.
He was speaking at a reception function at the Municipal Town Hall organised by the Nambol Municipal Council (NMC) at Nambol Bazar.
Stating that the plan for the new market building will take more than a year, Minister Shyamkumar said that during the time period, MAHUD Department will provide 40 per cent of the total expenditure while the remaining 60 percent will be borne by NMC.
Minister Shyamkumar said that revenue can be generated from the market if it is developed with proper planning.
Minister Shyamkumar further added that a market building should have all the modem facilities including fire safety apparatus, drink-ing water toilet rooms to Government has already sent a proposal to the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India for the development of markets in Lamlong, Kongba, Kwakeithel, Lamsang, Nambol, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Andro and Yairipok.
The Minister also added that he had asked MAHUD and PDA to make a concept paper for development of the market so that he can discuss it with the Centre.
Highlighting the importance of toilet facilities, the Minister added that the Government will give 40 per cent share of the total cost incurred in the toilet cleaner machine.
He added MAHUD Department will give 40 percent and remaining 60 percent will be bome by NMC.
Minister Shyamkumar also said that his Department will not delay any files and asked the people to inculcate the habit of planting fruit bearing trees and other plants.
The function was also attended by Parliamentary Secretary Dr S Ranjan Singh, BJP leader Th Chaoba Singh, officials of MAHUD, PDA and NMC officials.
Ahead of the reception function, Minister Shyamkumar along with, the team visited Nambol Municipal Council office and inspected Nambol Bazar.
