Lamka, July 15 2013:
The CDSU today protested the stationing of 59 cadres of KCP factions in the district despite vehement protest for the same from several tribal bodies.
A statement issued by the union said it is shocked to learn that 59 cadres of KCP (Lamphel group), KCP (MC group) and KCP (Taibangnganba group) were sheltered at 46 Assam Rifles camp.
"It is also pathetic to note that some cadres were permitted to roam freely in the town area even late at night", it added.
Asserting that it would not yield even an inch of the district to be used by "valley-based" underground outfits, the CDSU statement asked the authority concerned to immediately shift away all those underground outfits to some secure places in the valley.
The CDSU further stated that several tribal bodies have vehemently protested the attempt to rehabilitate valley based underground outfits in the hill areas while also appealing on the tribal populace to doggedly fight for the ouster of the valley-based outfits from the district.
