AMSGO appeals for allowing 181 candidates in Engg Exam

All Manipur Students Guardians' Organization (AMSGO) has appealed to the authorities concerned to allow 181 candidates, whose candidatures were rejected for non-submission of relevant documents, to appear in the Combined Engineering Service Examination-2013 to be conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) from August 1 to 3 next month.
Addressing media persons at the office of AMSGO, Palace Compound here today, Secretary S Sumati explained that the candidates failed to submit their degree certificates to the MPSC as the examination results of their respective institutions were not declared at the time of form submission.
The candidates have written to the MPSC to consider their candidature, but there is no positive response.
The invalidation of 181 candidates on ground of non-submission of relevant documents is not practiced even by the UPSC, she noted.
Candidates can submit their documents even after the interview in examinations conducted by UPSC, and so 181 candidates should be allowed by the MPSC to appear in the examination, she enjoined.
