Chandel ADC Chairman inspects

A team led by Chairman of Chandel Autonomous District Council, Lhukhosei Zou inspected several developmental works undertaken in the district headquarters today.
The team inspected construction of quarters, hostels and residential buildings, undertaken by MTDC under SPA 2011-12 at Monsang Pantha in Chandel headquarters.
The ADC Chairman met staff of several offices located there prior to his inspection and heard their problems.
The staff apprised the ADC chairman of their woes relating to water, electricity, generator maintenance, bad road condition etc.
The ADC Chairman assured them that once construction of the new buildings is over, the old ones would be utilised as staff quarters.
He further assured to mitigate water shortage by making budgetary allocation in the Council.
He also assured to take the matter pertaining to deteriorating road condition to the authority concerned.
The team later inspected the progress of Councillors' Hostel construction which is taken up at the cost of Rs 2.72.The team also inspected the Chairman's Residential building, CEO building and EMs quarters.
"Most of the construction works are completed," Lhukhosei told the accompanying media persons.
He however pointed out that there are some defects in the construction works.
He said cracked walls and use of poor quality construction materials are detected at some buildings.
The ADC Chairman appealed the MTDC authority to issue strict instruction to the contractors concerned and rectify the flaws at the earliest.
EMs of Chandel ADC, Newson Roel, T Hopson Maring and S Tongpao Mate accompanied the Chairman today.
It may be mentioned that some members led by Executive member Hopson Maring inspected the progress of developmental works taken up in Tengnoupal Subdivision yesterday.
