KV Lamphelpat to hold meet

After Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lamphelpat was burnt down by some of its former students in connivance with some outsiders in the intervening night of May 7 and 8, the school authority is set to hold a joint meeting of teachers and parents at 10 am on May 13 .
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Headmaster Heisnam Jugindro said that out of the five persons arrested by the police in connection with the incident, three were former students of the school.
One among the trio had left the school without appearing the final exam of Class XI while another boy was a Class IX drop-out, he said and added that the third boy was rusticated from the school for violating the rule of the school.
As they are in police net now, the law would take its own course, Jugindro said and added that the school has nothing to do regarding the punishment to be given to them.
However, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi may take a decision regarding the incident, he added.
Urging the parents and teachers to attend tomorrow's meeting, Jugindro said that the meeting would primarily discuss the present condition of the school.
He also said that another joint meeting of teachers and passed out students of the school would be held at 10 am on May 14 .
Vidyalaya Principal Maheshwor Paswan was also present at the press conference.
