Imphal, May 12 2014 :
The Association of Persons with Disabilities, Senapati (APDS) has urged the Chief Executive Officer, ADC Sadar Hills and CEO Senapati to initiate legal action against one Mangkholun Khongsai, an assistant teacher under ADC Sadar Hills, who claims himself as the president of ADUSH for his activities to tarnish the image and reputation of All Tribal Disables' Union, Manipur (ATDUM).
In a representation to the CEO of Sadar Hills and Senapati ADCs, Yuimi Konghar, Chairman of APDS pointed out that Mangkholun Khongsai, in spite of being a teacher under ADC Sadar Hills, claims himself as the president of unregistered body, ADUSH and issued many unfounded allegations against ATDUM and APDS with a motive to tarnish the images of the two bodies.
The nonexistence of a body by the name ADUSH has been confirmed with information provided by the ARS, Kpi/Sadar Hills under the RTI Act, the memo said.
Pointing out further that the act of fraudulent running of an association by a Govt employee is not permissible under service rules, the APDS representation said Mangkholun Khongsai deserves punishment for his anti-tribal disabled people activities.
It demanded necessary legal action against him in the interest of tribal disabled persons of the State.
