9 LBIS established in each district

To support processing and training, nine Livelihood Business Incubators (LBIs), one in each districts of the State, have been established.
These nine LBIs are going to play a crucial role in Make in Manipur initiative.
Out of 22 Livelihood Business Incubators (LBIs) sanctioned by the Government of India under ASPIRE (A scheme for promoting innovation, rural industry and entrepreneurship) scheme, nine LBIs have been sanctioned in the tiny State of Manipur at a total cost of Rs 792.48 lakh.
In addition, one Rapid Incubation Centre is being set up by the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) in Imphal.
By availing the facilities provided by these Incubators, people can get themselves trained in their chosen trades and become successful entrepreneurs.
Moreover, the Commerce and Industry Department, Government of Manipur is setting up Common Facility Centres (CFC) at the cost of Rs 15 crore in each district to provide training to farmers and other related infrastructures.
Farmers can avail this opportunity to begin manufacturing their own products.
These CFCs will be area specific which means that they will basically be based on the availability of raw materials in the respective district.
The proposed CFCs are floriculture at Senapati; bamboo processing at Chandel; spices processing at Churachandpur; fruit processing at Tamenglong; food processing at Ukhrul; pineapple processing at Imphal East; plastic processing at Imphal West and fish processing at Thoubal.
