Imphal, August 06 2026: The Kuki National Organisation (KNO) has stated that PS Haokip is still the president of the organisation.

In a press note, the organisation clarified the recent developments concerning the status of PS Haokip.

"The statement pertains solely to PS Haokip's position as the president of the Kuki National Army (KNA), as officially acknowledged by the Cabinet (KNO) .

It does not affect his office as the president of KNO," it said.

The clarification indicated that the organisation had issued a statement removing him (PS Haokip) from the post of president of the KNA recently.

It said that the office of president of KNO is governed exclusively by the constitution, rules and established procedures of the organisation.
