Liangmai annual magazine released

The Global Liangmai Forum (GLF) had its annual magazine-2013 release at Nchangram village, Tening, Nagaland yesterday.
The magazine was released by Namri Nchang, MLA, Tening constituency, Nagaland.
Well known personalities of Liangmai community including Mani Charenamei (Former Lok Sabha MP), K Daimai (Retd Joint Director of Tribal Research Institute, Govt of Manipur), Adibou Newmei (Associate professor, NG College, Imphal, Manipur), Aaron Pamei (Dy.
Director, Civil Defense Hq.
New Delhi, Govt of India), Lakpui Liangsi Newmai, John (Advocate & Activist), Achakbou Newmai (Senior Agricultural Engineer, Govt of Nagaland), Dr Ajai Niumai (Associate Professor, University of Hyderabad and visiting scholar & Post-Doctoral fellow at the University of Iowa, USA) Dr Widinibou Charengna, Scholars from JNU, members of the Forum from abroad like Scotland, West Indies, Japan, and elders of our community etc, had contributed articles for the magazine.
The motive of releasing the magazine is to bring awareness to the Liangmai community on different burning issues concerning our community which include issues on environment, social, economic and history of Liangmai people, according to its convener Angambou Kalengta.
The editorial team of the magazine is Tasongwi Newmai, Assistant Professor, NCERT (editor-in-chief), Kalengta Angambou, Albert Njuta Chawang, Dr.Widinibou Charengna, Angam Niumai, Manu Ningning Niumai and Kendibou Pamai.
The Magazine has been christened as "Voice for Change" (Kali Rabo Khuan).
GLF expressed it gratitude to everyone who had contributed their valuable articles for the magazine and also wishes its readers happy reading.
