Imphal, January 09 2013:
The proscribed UNLF has called upon all the people to take due note of the news report that seven innocent youngsters of Heirok were allegedly lured with a promise of offering jobs only to present them as surrenderees of 'KYKL-MDF' by 42nd Assam Rifles.
The news report merits attention of all the people and it should not be seen as something insignificant, said a press release issued by the outfit's senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba.
Of the many overt strategies adopted by the Indian military such as atrocities unleashed against innocent civilians with a design to keep away the mass from the revolutionary movement, staging 'surrender drama' is one strategy known to every people of the land.
Majority of the people victimised by Indian military in the form of extra-judicial killings and fake encounters were innocent civilians even though the Indian military claimed that all of them were UG cadres.
The Indian military has also been nurturing many anti-social elements in the name of surrender only to use them in criminal activities like murder, bomb attacks, extortion etc in the name of revolutionary groups.
These anti-social elements are used in planting bombs in areas where there would be civilian casualties with a sinister design to blame revolutionary groups.
People as well as revolutionary groups should be wary of these tactics of the Indian military.
Had the seven youngsters not succeeded in leaving the AR camp and the alleged diabolic and narrow politics of Assam Rifles not exposed before media, the Indian military would have staged another high-profile surrender drama in presence of the Chief Minister and the DGP .
For the Assam Rifles have missed a chance of showcasing their 'achievement' and 'setback' for revolutionary groups, they would now target the seven innocent youngsters, the outfit alleged.
To save the innocent youngsters, people to stand firmly and collectively, it added.
By claiming that the news report about luring the youngsters with job offers was fabricated, the Assam Rifles PRO was exposing their innate misleading and dubious character.
But the PRO cannot fool the public all the time, it asserted.
As for Sagolsem Purnima of Andro Kharam Dam, her husband Sagolsem Gambhir and Thokchom Rameshwar of Heirok Part II Maning Leikai who acted as agents of AR and had no qualms in bargaining for money with the precious lives of seven youngsters, they are enemies of the people, the outfit declared.
