Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has stated that Government would inquire into alleged 'surrender drama' so that necessary action can be taken up against frauds involved in misguiding youths.
There is no place for any act of fradulence and the recent report was something new and unusual.
If anybody is found guilty after investigation, necessary action would be initiated according to the law, he said at Toloulong Damdei in Senapati district .
The report is an eye-opener to rectify lapses if there is any.
The government will first verify the matter and conduct a probe, said Gaikhangam, who also holds the home portfolio.
Seven youths of Heriok Part II were allegedly taken to Chandel with the promise of offering job in the Assam Rifles but were forced to be members of a rebel group to take part in a surrender ceremony.
Of the seven, six were taken by S Purnima to the camp of 42 AR with the promise to recruit them in the paramilitary force.
At the camp, one officer took photographs and credentials of the youths' identities, and another man in civvies forced them to sign on a document written with 'KYKL-MDF' .
