Imphal, October 25 2017:
Tanker truckers (TT) of the Indian Oil Corporation based at Sekmai gas bottling plant left Imphal for bulk LPG trans-portation today .
In total, 76 TTs that left the capital at 1pm with CRPF convoys, will halt at Khatkhatti tonight.
In the meantime, loaded trucks of FCI, which are currently waiting over there will be heading back to Imphal and are expected to reach here by Wednesday morning but without the LPG and POL (petroleum, oil, lubricant) TTs .
The remaining TTs along with others that are currently getting loaded at different loading points will start the journey back by tomorrow morning and reach Imphal by Thursday.
Currently, there are 35 LPG TTs that are stranded at Khatkhatti .
From earlier this month, demanding revocation of the IOC's notification to increase the number of bulk LPG TTs by 42 that was issued on October 6, the All Manipur Bulk LPG Transporters' Association had ceased work as protest from last Friday.
However, after talks with the Government yesterday, they had resumed work and sent 76 TTs for bulk LPG transportation.
