Three killed in road mishaps

Imphal, December 26 2013:
Three persons including a five year old boy have been killed in different cases of road accidents in the past one week.
Police sources informed that a 64 year old woman was killed after she was knocked down by a truck at Khabam Lamkhai under Heingang police station at around 6.30 am yesterday.
Gurumayum (O) Binodini w/o Brojendro of Thangmeiband Kabrabam Leikai was coming to her daughter's home at Khabam Leikai when she met the fatal accident.
She was taken to Shija Hospital but she succumbed to the injuries in the afternoon.
Police have seized the truck while the corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at JNIMS yesterday.
One boy was killed while his mothers survived with injuries after they were knocked down by a jeep at Waikhong Ningthounai Leikai along Indo-Burma-Sugnu Road at about 2 pm of December 24 .
The deceased victim identified as Chirom Rajesh (5) s/o Amu of Waikhong Ningthounai Leikai was coming to a nearby shop together with his mother when they were rammed by the jeep.
The mother is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
On the other hand, another victim of road accident who has been undergoing treatment has succumbed to the injuries.
Three persons riding a Honda Activa sustained injuries after they were rammed by a mini bus at Kanto Sabal under Sekmai police station at about 6 pm of December 19 .
Of the injured victims, Mangkam Vaiphei (47) s/o Kai Kholam of Pheijang village, Senapati district succumbed to the injuries this afternoon at RIMS.
The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem.
