Construction of CHC Sagolband will begin next month: RK Imo

Foundation stone laying for a Community Health Centre for Sagolband AC may happen next month at a suitable site.
RK Imo said this at the inaugural function of a renovated Young Social Service (YSSU) park under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and added that the proposal for setting of a CHC in Sagolband AC has been approved by the Central and the State Government.
Almost every AC in the State has a CHC, but it is very unfortunate that no such centres were established in the Sagolband AC which had caused several problems while organising vaccination drives for COVID-19 recently, he added.
Following the stint of problem, proposal was made to the Central Government after approval from the State Government, which has been approved and the project for establishment of the CHC at a cost of about Rs 1.5 crore was approved, he added.
The site for construction will be at a site as decided by the public, he added.
Regarding the developmental works that have been taken up in the constituency, he appealed the public to compare the conditions of the roads/streets in the AC 10 years ago and at present, the roads have been metalled and street lamps have been installed at all stretch of roads except for some portion, which will also be developed in due course of time.
The completion of overhead water reservoir which is nearing completion will solve some of the poblems of water scarcity in the constituency, he added.
The MLA continued that pipe laying in most part of the AC have also been completed.
The park which was opened today was also meant to serve as a site for the public to relax.
RK Imo added that the temple of Shri Shri Bijoy Govinda has been renovated and developed at a cost of about Rs 6.5 crore and has now become a tourits attraction too.
He lauded the support of the public in fighting the pandemic and appealed everyone to continue observing COVID-19 related SOP as the pandemic is far from being over.
