Senapati CSOs call 12 hours total shutdown
Another boycott call of Go to Hills 2.0 raised

Senapati, September 13 2021:
Civil society organizations of Senapati district held an emergency meeting today at Senapati district headquarters and decided to fully endorse the boycott call of the All Tribal Students Union, Manipur (ATSUM) on "Go to Hills 2.0" .
In this connection, the CSOs of Senapati had called a 12 hour total shutdown in the district starting from September 14 midnight till 12 noon of September 15 .
The CSOs resolved to boycott the said programme of the Chief Minister to show their resentment against the State Govt's indifferent attitude to the tribal people of the State including non-tabling of the Manipur (Hill Areas) ADC Bill, 2021 recommended by the HAC and Assembly Speaker's withdrawal order which they said was not based on the rules of procedure and conduct of business in the Manipur Legislative Assembly referring to Article 371 (C) .

The CSOs of the district also appealed to the public to cooperate with the proposed total shutdown and asked them to refrain from participating in the "Go to Hills 2.0" programme slated for September 15 in the district.
The district CSOs further warned of stringent action if anyone violates the said order.
Earlier a consultative meeting of the All Tribal Students Union, Manipur (ATSUM), All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Kuki Students Organization-General Headquarters (KSO-GHQ), Naga People's Organization (NPO), Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA), Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and its federating units was held at Senapati district headquarters.
The meeting later resolved to urge the State Govt to convene a special session of Manipur Legislative Assembly to table the HAC recommended ADC Bill, 2021 .
