COVID-19: Single day recovery exceeds daily cases
2 deaths, 41 new cases in last 24 hrs

Imphal, October 25 2021:
Single-day recoveries surpassed fresh COVID-19 cases in Manipur as 84 more people recuperated from the disease while 41 new infections in the last 24 hours pushed the tally to 1,23,333, according to COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The new Covid cases which include 1 CAPF personnel were confirmed at RIMS (1), JNIMS (5) and other testing centres (35) and those from among the general population are from Imphal East (11), Imphal West (21), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (1) and Kamjong (2) .
As 1,280 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, the positivity thus registered on Monday was 3.2 percent.
Among the districts, only Kamjong reported the positivity rate in double digit (11.1 percent) as 1 of the 9 samples tested positive in the period.
In the same period, at least 1 Covid death each was reported from Imphal West and Imphal East, increasing the death toll of the two districts to 638 and 454 respectively.
So far, COVID-19 has claimed 1,913 lives in Manipur, according to the Government bulletin.
Pherzawl still has no cases of Covid fatality.
The 84 persons who were discharged today are from Home Isolation (14), RIMS (7), JNIMS (13) and CCCs (50).With the recovering rate further improving to 97.73 percent against 97.69 percent updated yesterday, the active cases has reduced to 886 .
On October 24, 594 D-type and 154 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health care facilities and on the same day, 2,359 Covid vaccine doses were administered.
Jiribam still topped the Covid vaccination chart with the district administering 1st dose to 101.64 percent of its eligible population and another 55.98 percent with second dose.
At the bottom is Senapati as the district has so far vaccinated 17.98 percent of its eligible population with the 1st dose and 10.30 percent with the second.
According to the bulletin, Manipur has vaccinated 64 percent of its eligible population with the 1st dose while 33.33 percent has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 .
