Sword Vashum announces candidature

Ukhrul, October 25 2021:
Sword Vashum, intending candidate of 44-Chingai Assembly Constituency on Monday announced his aims and agendas for contesting the general election at Ukhrul.
Briefing media persons at a press conference, Sword Vashum announced four main agendas that he would aim to bring about.
The agendas included- Restoration of villages/land facility allotted to village district to respective hill districts; Employment: Immediate review of employment quota mutually agreed upon in the ratio of 2:1; Immediate implementation of Article 371 (C), notably provision relocated to bifurcation of budget for the hills and valley, and functional Autonomy of HAC (Hills Area Committee); and Delimitation: Based on demographic and topographic features.
Sword Vashum also highlighted his reasons for contesting in the forthcoming Assembly Election 2022 and stated that the only reason for entering the electoral fray was to come forward and serve the people whole heartedly.
In regard to his four agendas, he said that three are possible for immediate implementation and the 4th agenda would take some time while assuring that he would pursue it till it is achieved.
Elaborating on his agendas, the intending candidate further stated that he won't budge even an inch from what has been given to the people by the constitution and that he would work tirelessly till due justice has been done.
It may be mentioned that Sword Vashum joined the UNC in May, 2010 to lead and bring about the alternative arrangement movement.
He was officially inducted into the electoral election on January 7, 2012 .
