Allegations pour in over Khurai, Wangkhei AC dispute

MLA of Khurai AC, L Susindro has expressed discontent over the skirmish that broke out between Khurai AC and Wangkhei AC residents leading to injuries and damages to vehicles.
He added that the whole dispute started as a result of his workers attempting to fix an accident prone zone along Porompat TV Tower road.
He stated that MLA of Wangkhei AC, Y Irabot's line of questioning demanding for a work order was in very poor taste.
The statements were made at a meeting held at Kongpal Kongkham Leikai Unity Club to discuss the unfortunate turn of events that took place on October 24 .
MLA L Susindro further added that it would be a huge detriment if one were to demarcate developmental efforts based on Assembly Constituencies.
He also offered to provide assistance to the persons who were injured or suffered damages as a result of the unfortunate incident and asserted that he would not stay silent if such incidents were to occur in the future.
Meira paibi organisations of Kongpal Kongkham on the other hand have accused MLA Y Irabot of inciting the brawl.
K Sumati, joint secretary Yangoiningthou Lainingthou Meira Paibi Lup also accused an individual by the name Naobi from Khurai Chingangbam Leirak Machin, Wangkhei AC of elevating the friction between the two groups.
Th Ranita, secretary Kongpal Kongkham Awang Leikai Meira Lup addressed a meeting held at Unity Club, Kongpal Kongkham Leikai, saying that the whole fiasco was created to besmirch MLA L Susindro's reputation.
She added that the job card holders of Khurai AC had made an earnest appeal to L Susindro to repair the accident prone area along Porompat TV Tower road.
As per their request, repair work began by attempting to drain out the water collected in the area, at which point the skirmish broke out with the wrongful allegation that sewage water was being drained into Porompat Khurai Thangjam Leikai Pukhri Achouba, she explained.
She further condemned Naobi's action and appealed to the Government to clearly demarcate which localities come under the two Assembly Constituencies in order to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.
