15 new cases reported in last 48 hrs

Imphal, April 03 2022: Altogether 15 fresh cases and zero death marked the Covid count of the last 48 hours with eight persons discharged after recuperation in the period.

Notably, just one new Covid case was updated on Saturday, the day which saw a positivity rate of 0.4 percent on testing 284 samples.

Meanwhile, at least 14 fresh Covid were detected from among the general population in the last 24 hours and they are residents of Imphal East (4), Imphal West (3), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Churachandpur (2) and Kakching (2) .

With this figure, the State now has 1,37,119 cumulative Covid positive and 41 active cases.

The recovered cases, on other hand, climbed to 1,34,958 with a positivity rate of 98.42 per cent as eight persons were discharged from Home Isolation (3) and Covid Care Facility (5) in two days, i.e April 2 and April 3 .

The death toll remains at 2120 as now new Covid deaths have been updated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.

As per the bulletin, altogether 483 Covid beds are still vacant at JNIMS (297) and RIMS (186) .

In terms of full vaccination coverage, Imphal West tops the chart at 63.10 per cent and at the bottom lies Kangpokpi at 16.51 per cent.

Overall, the State has fully vaccinated 50.55 per cent of its eligible population while another 61.54 have partially been vaccinated till yesterday.

Yesterday, 311 D-type and 118 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health facilities.

250 Covid vaccine doses were also administered yesterday.
