FRC celebrates 1st Foundation Day

Imphal, November 06 2023: Football Raengdai Club (FRC) celebrated its first Foundation Day at Dimdailong community hall, Imphal East, on Monday.

Hannah Kamei, director (Tribal Affairs and Hills), Dr Charnbo Gonmei, additional director Directorate of Family Welfare Services, A Adahri Maheo, CEO ADC Senapati, and Prof Gangmei Angam, president FRC, attended the event as chief guest, guests of honour, and president, respectively.

During her speech, Hannah Kamei expressed delight in being a part of the event organised by the first Zeliangrong community football club, and wished the team and executive members all success.

She also offered her constant support.

A Adahri Maheo stated that only with good health and sportsmanship discipline can a good football team be built that can achieve success in all tournaments as Dr Chambo Gonmei expressed his joy at Zeliangrong's involvement in the world's most popular game while urging attendants at the event to support and promote the FRC team and executives in order to ensure smoother ventures and the creation of a strong, long-lasting team.

Speaking at the event, Prof Gangmei Angam mentioned that the FRC executive members will be expanded very soon, with experienced per sons from many professions inducted to establish a strong football squad.

He also asked the people in attendance to help the FRC team in any manner they could so in order to produce a good football squad.

Angam also hoped for future representation at international and national levels with the support of the people.

He then invited the members present to come and support the FRC team in the Manipur league, which will begin this month in Imphal.

After the event, the members present at the celebration donated blood at JNIMS to a mark the 1st foundation day.

Mention may be made that FRC was founded on November 6, 2022 at Centre Point Food Plaza, Mahabali, Imphal.

The club was registered under Deputy Registrar of Societies, Noney on December 19, 2002 and affiliated to DSA, Noney and All Manipur Football Association (AMFA).

So far, the FCR team has participated in the 2nd TA Col Robert Memorial Open Football Tournament in Senapati, 30th Shirui Lily Cup and 64th Sir Churachand Singh KSCI, CBE Memorial Tournament 2022-2023.Some members of the FRC team have also joined prestigious clubs like Sudeva FC, Delhi, DK Pharma, Mumbai and Parikrama Boys FC, Bangalore.
