Free AYUSH health camp, anaemia screening camp conducted

A one day free AYUSH health camp was held today at Kalyan Ashram relief camp in Kakching jointly organised by National Health Mission-AYUSH Division and All Manipur AYUSH Doctors Association (AMADA) .
Speaking at the occasion, National Health Mission-AYUSH, State Nodal Officer, Dr Benedict Maring said that the health camp is organised as a part of the phase wise free health camps conducted at different relief centres across the State to cater to the medical needs of the conflict survivors taking refuge in these relief camps.
A team of AMADA doctors examined the displaced people of the relief camp and addressed their health concerns and free medicines were also provided, he added.

He further informed that apart from the above, the facilities of free ultrasound screening and piles examination were also done.
Dr Benedict also said that a Yoga demonstration was also carried out to help in stress management of the displaced people.
Meanwhile, a free anaemia screening camp was also conducted at the relief camp organised by the District Health Society Kakching as a part of Anaemia Mukt Bharat campaign.
Blood samples were collected for anaemia detection during the screening camp held under the aegis of Anaemia Mukt Bharat Campaign Kakching District Nodal Officer, Dr Kshetrimayum Sumati.
