SEYO, MEIRAA victorious in State Master Hockey Championship

Imphal, March 07 2025: SEYO and MEIRAA prevailed in Friday's fixtures of the 1st State Level Thongam Oboyaima Singh Memorial Master Hockey Championship at SEYO Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, Akampat.

SEYO claimed a 4- 2 victory over KHSC, establishing an early lead through P Adeba's opener in the 14th minute.

Rk Bikramjit extended their advantage with goals in the 16th and 32nd minutes, before Ksh Suresh made it 4-0 in the 37th minute.

Despite a spirited fightback from KHSC, with N Naobi (38') and S Ratan (40') reducing the deficit, SEYO maintained their composure to secure the win.

Meanwhile, MEIRAA staged an impressive comeback to overturn a two-goal deficit and edge past HU with a 3-2 victory.

HU took an early lead with goals from S Tarun (6') and L Laiba (28'), but MEIRAA responded with determination.

N Gunamani, S Bidyakumar, and Th Tompok each found the net to complete a remarkable turnaround.

In the U-14 boys' category, SEYO and TWC delivered dominant performances.

SEYO overpowered PHAM with an emphatic 12-0 win, led by Th Lanbabu's five-goal haul.

Nelson K and N Poireinganba each netted twice, while Alex P, Ksh Derison, and Henthoiba A also got on the scoresheet.

TWC, meanwhile, secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over YCCIC, with K Dinachandra netting a hat-trick and Di-naraj adding another to seal the result.
