YWC, WFA enjoy easy wins in Khelo India Girls Football League

Imphal, January 12 2024: Youth Welfare Club (YWC) and Wangoi Football Association (WFA) strolled to massive wins in the U-13 Khelo India Girls Football League 2023-24 at CYLC Ground, Chingamathak on Friday.

YWC started the day with a 14-1 thrashing of AMMA in their league match.

Yensembam Jandiya made the most of the rout, scoring five goals (3, 5, 13, 26, 44) as Leikangbam Russia Chanu (2, 40, 46) and Laitonjam Linthoi Chanu (14, 22, 29) netted a treble each, with Heikham Ze-nia Devi (43, 50) contributing two goals in their emphatic victory.

AMMA got their consolation goal through Karong Vasty Kom (32) .

YWC, on the other hand, romped past Khuman FA 10-2.Sharangthem Rina Devi (2, 29, 43) and Laishom Lamjinglembi (13, 28, 50) led the rout with three goals each while Asem Bidiyalaxmi Devi (37, 44) grabbed a double and Mutum Basantipuja Chanu (44) scored one for their team whose other goal came via a penalty kick.

Mayangmayum Farjina (17) and Aisha Sidik (33) were the only scorers for Khuman FA .
