MNCA Womens: PTRC, THAU dominate opponents

PTRC and THAU recorded comprehensive wins in Friday's clashes of 4th MNCA Senior Womens One Day Trophy.
PTRC thumped PTCC by 9 wickets in their meeting at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
PTCC opted to bat first but struggled, collapsing to 103 all out in 34.2 overs.
Kiranbala Palujam spearheaded the bowling attack with 3/12 in 7 overs, supported by captain Ranjita Devi Kojjam (2/15).PTCC's innings saw frequent collapses, with only Khundraipam Anjali Devi (18 off 10) offering late resistance.
PTRC chased the target effortlessly, finishing at 107/1 in just 14.4 overs.
Skipper Ranjita Devi Kojjam anchored the chase with an unbeaten 57 off 45 balls (8 fours, 1 six), earning her the Player of the Match accolade.
Chingkheileima Chanu Mangsatabam contributed 30 before falling, while Loidangton Devi Thokchom (3*) sealed the win.
In a lopsided contest at SEDOC Ground, THAU inflicted a crushing 352-run defeat on Al-Ameen.
THAU posted a mammoth 391/3 in 35 overs after electing to bat.
Captain Kalpana Devi Keisham starred with a blistering 107 off 69 balls (12 fours), while Leithoi Changammayum (55 off 53) and Robeni Usham (54 off 61) retired hurt.
Extras played a staggering role, contributing 103 runs (64 wides, 29 no-balls) to the total.
Al-Ameen crumbled under pressure, skittled for 39 in 23.1 overs.
Konjengbam Nonibala Devi wreaked havoc, taking 5/1 in 3.1 overs, including a double-wicket maiden.
Sophiya Chanu Naoroibam (2/12) and Thottholbi Ahongshangbam (1/2) also shone.
Al-Ameen's batters faltered, with only Linthoi Khu-lem (6) reaching double digits.
