PCC, YWC (Langthabal) and YWC (Patsoi) recorded comprehensive victories as NAPSA also prevailed in the MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy on Saturday.
PCC thumped SU by 156 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Takhelmayum Vikash produced a masterclass batting effort with an unbeaten knock of 147 off 54 balls to help PCC pile up 250/2.The innings also saw Thokchom Anand Singh make significant contributing, hitting 72 not out off 39 balls.
Openers Charoibam Tyson Singh (13) and Longjam Gibson Singh (17) were other run-getters.
They both fell prey to Takhellambam Herojit Singh's bowling spell.
After their solid batting display, PCC followed it up with a brilliant bowling performance to end SU's run chase in 19 overs for 94.Longjam Gibson Singh spearheaded the attack, claiming 4 scalps as Chingakham Ranjan Singh and Thokchom Anand Singh picked up 2 wickets apiece, with L Chingheihunba Meitei and Pravin Kumar taking one each in their massive 156-run victory.
For SU, Loitongbam Naoton (26), Takhellambam Herojit Singh (24) and Ksh Bikram Singh were the batters who got into double digits in their run chase.
YWC (Langthabal) outclassed SHADOW by 6 wickets at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Electing to bat, SHADOW didn't have it easy as they were stalled at 91/7.In the innings, only Rahul Kumar (17), Reolin Oinam (16) and Sagatpam Lanchenba (14) managed to reach double figures.
Ngangbam Bishwash Singh snapped 3 wickets while Maibam Subash Singh, Seram Robinson, Pukhrambam Prashantamani Singh and Yenshenbam Vivek each got a wicket for YWC.
YWC then needed 14.4 overs to complete the chase, losing 4 wickets in the process.
Heisnam Manikanta Singh led from the front, scoring 51 off 46 balls and Ngangbam Bingson Singh was unbeaten on 11 as the duo's efforts propelled YWC Langthabal to a commanding win.
For SHADOW, Rk Nishi-kanta claimed 2 wickets while Reolin Oinam and Rahul Kumar took one each.
YWC (Patsoi), on the other hand, outperformed YAC by 5 wickets at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Chera-Cherapur, Thoubal.
The Patsoi side restricted their opponents to 163/3 before they eclipsed the latter's total with two balls to spare.
Monjit Loushambam (71) stood out in YAC's innings, with Indrakumar Wayengbam making 31.In reply, YWC took 19.4 overs to chase down the target with efforts from Thoungamba M (41 not out), Johnson Lai (31), Laikhuram Jagat Singh (28), Piojit Ch (13 not out), Khedabarth Singh Khundrakpam (13) and Shitaljit Wangkhem (13).In the process, they lost 2 wickets each to Singhajit Sharma and Priyokumar Wayenbam, and one to Chumthao Dk.
NAPSA beat KCDO by 5 runs at Oriental College Ground.
NAPSA opted to bat and made 121/8 in the allotted 20 overs.
In the innings, Heisnam Boney (41), Tongbram Dhanakuber Singh (24) and Mitamnganba Chingtham (13) were key contributors.
In reply, KCDO failed to make headway after managing 116/8 and lost out in the contest as a 29-run knock each by Bikram Phamdom and Md Ajizur Rahman wasn't enough.
NAPSA's disciplined bowling effort saw Nepram Richer Singh and Tongbram Dhanakuber Singh take 2 wickets each, while Albert Sorokhaibam, Heisnam Boney, Bipin Singh Ningthoujam and Rocky Yumnam each contributed one wicket.
