NK Sanajaoba remembered on 87th birth anniversary

Former rebel leader RK Meghen has categorically said that the vision and ideas which the youth of the State need these days can be found if they trace the footsteps of NK Sana-jaoba, the pioneer of investigative journalism in Manipur.
RK Meghen made the remark during the 87th birth anniversary of NK Sana-jaoba held at Palace Compound, today.
The gathering led by RK Meghen offered floral tributes to the photo of NK Sanajaoba.
Speaking at the function, RK Meghen said that Sana-jaoba was also the founder of boys scouts in Manipur.
Saying that youth will find a valuable lesson if they trace the contribution of NK Sanajaoba to Manipur society, the former rebel leader reiterated that Sanajaoba was a revolutionary journalist who came after Hijam Irabot.
NK Sanajaoba was also the founder member of UNLF and a founder Editor of Pan Manipur Youth League's monthly journal Lamyanba.
Further stating that Sana-jaoba exposed the corrupt activities of the Govt when Manipur was a Part -C State, Meghen maintained that Sanajoaba was detained, jailed and fined multiple times for exposing the ills of the society.
He never compromised in his work even though Manipur was a repressive State, Meghen said referring to the late journalist.
