MPSC, PCC & SSU stroll in MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy

Imphal, January 12 2024:
MPSC, PCC and SSU won with ease in the 14th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy on Friday.
MPSC pummelled YWC by 9 wickets at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground, Imphal.
Opting to bat, YWC were reduced to 112/8 in the allotted 20 overs in their innings that saw Johnson Lai top-score with 39, followed by Piojit Ch (18), Shitaljit Wangkhem (13) and Laikhuram Jagat Singh (12) .
In the YWC attack, Maibam Bijoykumar Singh and Gelson Singh Thoudam picked up 2 wickets each while Oinam Rojit Singh, Indraban S Koijam and Sarangthem Shangker Singh took one each.
In their response, YWC knocked off the runs in 12.1 overs for the loss of one wicket as Gelson Singh Thoudam shone with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 76 off 41 balls, with contributions from Sagolsem Sunil Singh (30) and Sarangthem Shangker Singh (4 not out) .
Sunil was dismissed by Laishram Yaiphaba Meitei.
PCC thrashed SHADOW by 92 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, Thoubal.
They chose to bat first and posted 190/5 .
Takhelmayum Vikash was clearly the top performer in their innings where he hit an unbeaten 82 off 43 balls.
Huidrom Dhanashyam Meitei (29) and Chingakham Ranjan Singh (23) also made valuable contributions, supplemented by scores from Thokchom Anand Singh (17), Longjam Gibson Singh and Mathurabashimayum Jobanta Sharma (3 not out) .
For SHADOW, Rk Nishikanta bagged 2 wickets while Rahul Kumar and Kh Devis got one apiece.
PCC then needed 15.5 overs to stop SHADOW'S run chase for 98 as Tellen Thangjam (34 not out) and Rk Nishikanta (22) and Reolin Oinam (13) scored in double digits in their chase.
Mathurabashimayum Jobanta Sharma led the scalping for PCC, with Chingakham Ranjan Singh and L Chingheihunba Meitei taking 2 wickets each, and Longjam Gibson Singh bagged one in their triumph.
SSU, on the other hand, beat NAPSA by 4 wickets at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
NAPSA managed 108/9 after electing to bat.
In their innings, only Richard Singh Kshetrimayum (37) and Bipin Singh Ningthoujam (24) managed to reach double figures.
For SSU, Douglas scalped 3 wickets, Ningombam San joy picked up 2 wickets, and Jayananda P, Shamurailatpam Deepankar Sharma and Saik homba Thongam took one each in helping their side seal the win.
