U-14 cricket: RCA, PTRC, KSDO, AMCA script wins

Imphal, February 05 2024:
RCA, Lilong; PTRC, Patsoi Part-IV; KSDO, Kyamgei; and AMCA, Thoubal Moijing launched their campaign in the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys cricket tournament 2023-24 on opening notes on Monday.
In Group D match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, RCA defeated LOTUS, Hiyanglam by 7 wickets.
Opting to bat first, LOTUS managed just 85 runs in 17.4 overs with Srinivash Nongmaithem (31) being the only notable contributor, as Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (4 wickets) spearheaded the RCA bowling attack with able support from Md Irfan (2 wickets), Md Soib Hassan (one) and Md Albas Khan (one).
RCA overhauled the target in 13 overs for the loss of three wickets as Md Albas Khan (47 not out) guided the team to victory.
In Group B match at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part-IV, PTRC trounced LCC, Lamsang by 8 wickets.
Batting first, LCC folded up for 82 in 24.3 overs as only L Lilabanta Khuman (13), Lenleiba Sandham (11) and Omega Meitei Senjam (10) made double-digit score.
PTRC captain Bush Sagolsem claimed 4 wickets with Ngambarel Naoshekpam, Bhuson, Bedabiyas Pheiroijam, Th Priyokumar Singh and Ghoutam Chingangbam accounting for one LCC batsmen.
PTRC achieved victory in 8 overs losing 2 wickets riding on match-winning contributions from Ngambarel Naoshekpam (29 not out) and Mangal Sagolsem (32 not out).
In Group C match played at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, KSDO defeated MPA, Thounaojam by seven wickets after putting the latter to bat.
Chongtham Sitaranjan Singh (33) and captain Th Chinglensana (17 not out) were the main contributors in the MPA score of 114/6 in 30 overs, as Md Shadik Israak Hussain scalped 3 wickets for KSDO and Mohammed Gunbas and Mohammed Abu Sufiyan claimed one each.
KSDO cruised to victory in the 12th over for the loss of 3 wickets riding on vital knocks from Md Wasim (46 not out) and Kh Firdos (27).For MPA, Th Chinglensana took 2 wickets and Chongtham Priyokumar one.
In Group A match played at THAU Ground, AMCA beat SYDO, Lilong by 3 wickets.
Choosing to bat first, SYDO were all out for 162 in 27.5 overs as only Md Soweb Akter Bogi (31 not out) and Md Sohail Khan (27), put up some semblance of fight against the AMCA bowling attack led by Anish (4 wickets), Mehbuk (3) and Md Yakin (2) .
AMCA reached the target in 23 overs losing 7 wickets as Mehbuk (311, Mustakin (30) and Md Yakin (17) guided the team home.
