Nashamukht Bharat Yatra campaign held

The College of Agriculture, Iroisemba and College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat today jointly organised an awareness programme on Nashamukht Bharat Yatra at the Food Processing Pilot Plant Centre, College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat, Imphal.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with Kaashiyana Foundation, Varanasi.
It was attended by Sumeet Singh, Member, NCCDR, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India & founder Kaashiyana Foundation; Dr Uttam Ojha, Member, Disabilities Empowerment, Government of India; Ashish Gupta, vice president, Kaashiyana Foundation and Prof Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, as presidium members.

Students of both the Colleges also participated in the programme.
During the programme, the dignitaries spoke at length on the need to curb drug usage especially amongst youth for the progress of society.
An interactive session was also held wherein the attendee interacted with the speakers and expressed their views as well as raised questions on drugs related issues.
Notably, ten members of Kaashiyana Foundation started the anti-drug yatra from Varanasi on January 23 and is expected to cover all the States of North East India within 22 days.
