YMDO clinch K Ranjana men's volleyball tourney title

Imphal, March 27 2025: YMDO (Heirongthong) overcame MPSC in the final match of 1st Khuraijam Ranjana Devi Memorial Invitation Men's Open Volleyball Tournament 2025 at Yaihithel Lampak, Yumnam Huidrom Thiyam Leishangkhong, on Thursday.

YMDO showcased their dominance early, securing the first two sets with convincing scores of 25-13 and 25-18 .

However, MPSC fought back fiercely in the third set, clinching it 25-22 to keep their hopes alive.

Unshaken, YMDO regained control in the fourth set, closing out the match 25-18 to lift the championship trophy.

The champions, YMDO, took home a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 along with the glittering trophy, while runners-up MPSC were awarded Rs 50,000 and a trophy for their spirited campaign.

The tournament also honoured standout performers, with YMDO's K Joyson named best setter and M Dinku earning the prestigious Best Player award.

MPSC's Aryan Baliyan dazzled with his attacking prowess, claiming the best spiker title.
