Imphal, March 25 2025: YWC, Langthabal cruised to their fourth straight Group C victory as RCA, Lilong eased to their third Group A victory in the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-23 Men's Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 .

At Moijing Public Ground, Heisnam Manikanta enjoyed a five-for to hand YWC a commanding 9 wicket victory over TRAU, Kwakeithel, who won the toss and opted to bat first.

TRAU were bundled out for just 50 runs in 21 overs with YWC skipper H Manikanta (5/25 in 8 overs that include 2 maidens) and Soubam Robinson (2/5 in 3 overs) running riot to dismantle their line up.

Only Mutum Swabhiman was the double digit run getter for TRAU adding 13 off 30 balls while 9 others either went out on ducks or single digit scores.

In reply, YWC only lost Nepram Herojit on 17 before Seram Robinson 25 not out off 28 and Heisnam Manikanta 1 not out off 1 finished off the chase within 12 overs.

Heisnam Manikanta was eventually declared player of the match.

Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong, RCA shone in both the batting and bowling departments to overwhelm AMCA, Thoubal by 313 runs and extended their winning run to three games in the Group A league competition.

RCA posted a mammoth total of 390/6 in 40 overs courtesy of a 99-ball 141 from Syed Hussain (19 fours and 2 sixes) and half centuries from Md Danish Khan (58 off 25; 7 fours and 2 sixes), and Naesh Hussain (52 off 25; 5 fours and 3 sixes).

The innings saw Altaj of AMCA claiming two wickets (2/55) as three others picked a wicket apiece.

In reply, Zamir Khan (4/20 in 7.3 overs), Aziz Mirza (2/17 in 8 overs) and Iliyas (2/16 in 6 overs) combined well to bowl AMCA out for just 77 runs in 29.3 overs.

Thoubalmayum Mustakim 20, Moichingmayum Md Anash 14 and Moichingmayum Md Yakin 14 were the leading run getters for AMCA in the innings that also saw Naesh Hussain and Md Danish Khan of RCA chipping in with a wicket apiece.

Syed Hussain who starred with the bat was adjudged player of the match.

Meanwhile, KASC, Khomidok registered their second Group B win in three matches by beating CHAMP CC, Khagempalli by 2 wickets at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground.

Put in to bat first, CHAMP posted 215/9 and KASC fought their way to the winning 217 with two wickets and 5 balls left to spare.

Md Babu 53 off 73 balls and Afjal Khan 50 off 62 balls scored half centuries in the first innings that saw KASC skipper Bm Irfan enjoying a four wicket haul (4/38 in 8 overs) and Bm Afsar (2/44) and Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali (2/21) sharing another bulk of 4 wickets.

In reply, KASC were slow off their blocks and were reduced to 38/3 in 10.2 overs before Md Ali Karim teed off with a 76-ball 72 and added 79-runs for the fourth wicket with Bm Irfan (47 off 33 balls) to steady the innings.

Md Rahis 17, Bm Afsar 28 and Md Sakif Hussain 10 then put in sensible efforts to take KASC to victory.

Md Babu (2/34 in 8 overs), Thounaojam Pritam (2/39 in 7 overs) and Afjal Khan (2/33 in 8 overs) of CHAMP shared 6 wickets in this innings.

Bm Irfan, who shone with both the bat and ball, was declared player of the match.

In a Group D match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, RULE, Meitram beat THAU, Thangmeiband for the second win in four matches.

THAU opted to bat first but were bundled out for a meagre total of 110 runs in 33.5 overs as Rojit Angomcha (6/30 in 6.5 overs) wreaked havoc with the assistance of Nepram Richer (2/11 in 5 overs).

Pukhrambam Hilbert was the only standout batter for THAU in their innings as he struck 6 fours and 1 six on the way to his 88-ball 54 .

RULE then rode on RK Herachandra's 55-ball 50 (5 fours and 2 sixes), Sanjenbam Manikhomba 15 off 13 and Rojit 15 not out off 20 to seal the victory in 18 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.

Kh Romesh of THAU returned with the team's best bowling figures of 3/31 in second innings.

Rojit, who produced an allround show, was declared player of the match.
