YPHU, YCC win in Mema Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament

Imphal, March 25 2025: YPHU, Lalambung and YCC, Wangkhei emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Memorial T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament.

In the first match of the day, YCC amassed 155/7 after being put in to bat first and restricted RNEF, Mayang Imphal to 112/8 to seal a 43-run victory.

Winkle 43 off 39, L Everest 42 off 30 and Bishorjit 27 led the scoring for YCC in the first innings that saw L Sanatomba (2/26) and Jasobanta (2/18) sharing four wickets for RNEF.

In reply, Jasobanta 38 off 33 made the most of the contribution in a lost cause as L Everest of YCC snared three wickets (3/10 in 4 overs) and four others picked a wicket apiece.

L Everest of YCC was declared man of the match.

Later in the day, YPHU beat Model Club, Chingamakha by 25 runs.

Put in to bat first, YPHU rode on Thenthen 54 off 40, Boiton 29 off 28 and Dhanajit 17 not out to post 156/6 and rode on frugal bowling performances from Dularva (2/22), Thenthen (2/18) and Devkumar (2/25) to restrict Model Club to 131/7 in response despite efforts from Syed Mujibur Rahman 36 off 38, Thokchom Iboyaima 24 off 24 and Devan 17.For Model Club, Syed Mujibur picked two wickets (2/30) as three others claimed a wicket apiece.

Thenthen of YPHU was named man of the match.
