12 events decided on Day 2 of State Aquatic Championship

As many as 12 events across categories were decided on the second day of the 38th State Aquatic Championship 2025.Soram Pietersen dominated the boys' 200m backstroke with a commanding time of 03:03.84, leaving Lanchenba Achom (03:21.77) and Reo Laishram (03:29.48) to claim silver and bronze, respec tively.
In the Group 1100m freestyle, Budhachandra N surged ahead with a swift 1:00.54, while Gaithuilung Golmei (1:06.64) and Suranjit Puy-am (1:07.30) completed the top three.
Laitonjam Lanchenba blazed through the 50m breaststroke in just 00:32.73, outpacing Nongmaithem Dhananjoy Meitei (00:35.43) and Pravesh Mathurabashimayum (00:37.75) .
The 200m freestyle in Group 3 saw two closely contested races.
Mohammed Danish clinched gold in the first heat with 02:49.02, narrowly beating Lanchenba Angom (02:49.64), while Viben Sairem (03:14.19) secured third.
In the second heat, Koijam Athoiba triumphed with a stellar 2:15.20, followed by Mangalsana Thangjam (2:37.57) and Reo Laishram (3:12.63) .
Lucheng Sarungbam emerged victorious in the Group 4 50m breaststroke, clocking 0:45.68, with S.Lan (0:49.29) and S Yohen (0:50.28) rounding out the podium.
K Athoiba continued his strong form, winning the 100m freestyle in 01:00.44, just ahead of Hemanshu (01:01.09) and M Arendam (01:03.88).David Sapam set a blistering pace in the Group 2100m freestyle, finishing in 00:59.28, while M Pravesh (01:00.34) and L Bishorjit (01:02.91) took silver and bronze.
L Lanchenba won the Group 2 200m individual medley in 02:21.22, well ahead of Dhananjoy (02:37.92) and Aron (03:07.06) .
S Luching dominated the Group 4 200m individual medley with a time of 03:34.94, followed by S Yohen (03:51.57) and Kh Vivek (03:59.69).N Dhananjoy secured another medal, winning the 100m breaststroke in 1:19.71, while Y Aron (1:25.93) and M Harvey (1:48.33) completed the top three.
In the 100m backstroke, L Bishorjit claimed gold in 01:10.59, with Y Aron (01:26.43) and Leoking Elangbam (01:35.12) taking silver and bronze.
