Sang-gai Heroes, SAIRC triumph in 17th Manipur State League

Imphal, March 25 2025: Sang-gai Heroes and SAIRC emerged victorious in Tuesday's clashes of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Sang-gai Heroes scored in both halves to claim a 2-0 win over United Brothers FC.

The match got off to a flying start when Laishram Sailesh Singh found the back of the net just three minutes in, giving his team an early advantage.

Despite sustained pressure, Sang-gai Heroes were unable to extend their lead before halftime.

The second half saw United Brothers FC mount a stronger defensive effort, but their resistance was broken in the 75th minute when Shilngam-ba Shogolsem doubled the lead with a clinical finish, ensuring all three points for his side.

In another exciting fixture, SAIRC claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over NACO .

Chihanring Lunghar opened the scoring for SAIRC in the 15th minute, but NACO fought back valiantly, with Takhen-changbam Krishnananda Sharma levelling the score in the 67th minute.

The match seemed headed for a tense finish until Oinam Romio Singh struck the winner for SAIRC in the 76th minute, sealing a dramatic victory.
