Youth WC, Young WC register identical wins in U-13 Khelo India Girls Football League

Youth Welfare Club and Young Welfare Club both eased to an identical 7-2 win as the U-13 Khelo India Girls Football League got underway at CYLC Ground, Chingamathak on Wednesday.
Yensembam Jandiya struck a hat-trick in Youth Welfare Club's 7-2 thrashing of ICSA Irengbam.
ICSA took the lead in the 22nd minute through Irengbam Thajamanbi Devi, but YWC fought back strongly to turn the game around as Leikangbam Russia Chanu found the equaliser in the 25th minute and fellow Heikham Zenia Devi put YWC ahead in the 29th minute before Yensembam Jandiya scored twice in the 30th and 31st minutes to give their side a commanding 4-1 lead.
Then Russia Chanu got their fifth goal in the 32nd minute and Jandiya completed her hat-trick in the 34th minute.
Oinam Retika reduced the deficit for ICSA in the 38th minute, but Laitonjam Linthoi Chanu converted in the 45th minute to make sure YWC emerged 7-2 winners at the end of the game.
On the other hand, Loukrakpam Seityamala Devi hit four goals in Young Welfare Club's 7-2 hammering of Women Football Academy.
WFA started strongly and took a 2-0 lead through Malemnganbi Naorem (12) and Wahengbam Bedanti Devi (20), but in a turn of events, YWC overturned the scores with goals from Loukrakpam Seityamala Devi (15, 28, 36, 41), Konthoujam Rashesori Devi (23), Julan Nongmaithem (35) and Konthoujam Daina Devi (50) for their emphatic victory.
