Luwangpokpa T-20: MPSC, FORCE stroll; MPA, NCA script wins

MPSC and FORCE emerged easy winners, while MPA and NCA also won in the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy's first fixtures of the new year on Wednesday.
MPSC recorded a massive 148-run victory against YPHUC in their league game played at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
They opted to bat first and scored 185 after being dismissed in 18.3 overs.
The MPSC innings saw Sarangthem Shangker Singh top-score with 62, followed by Potsangbam Bonem Singh (51), Gelson Singh Thoudam (19) and Soubam Kingson Singh (13).In the process, they lost 3 wickets to Irom Ishor, two each to Kshetrimayum Rishi Singh and Gurumayum Prince Sharma, and one each to Birbal Irom and Moirangthem Thomas Singh.
MPSC then made short work of the YPHUC batting order, bowling them out in just 9 overs for a mere 37 as none of YPHUC's batters could reach double figures in their run chase.
Indraban S Koijam dazzled with the ball for MPSC by finishing with a stunning haul of 6 wickets, while Maibam Bijoykumar Singh and Sarangthem Shangker Singh took one wicket apiece in their massive win.
FORCE, meanwhile, handed a 66-run defeat to KIYC at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground, Imphal.
Electing to bat, FORCE were all out for 126 in 18.5 overs.
In the innings, Md Kabir Ahmed (43 not out), Saddam Ahmed Shah (18) and Najir Ali (14) got into double digits.
Despite their low total, FORCE successfully defended their scores via their collective bowling effort.
They bundled out KIYC in 15.3 overs for 60 .
Tashib Alam claimed 3 scalps, Saddam Ahmed Shah and Md Kabir Ahmed picked up two each, with Arbin Khundrakpam chipping in with one in their comprehensive triumph.
Earlier, Mohammad Abdulla Khan, who took 5 wickets, was the main wicket-taker for KIYC.
MPA beat THAU by 13 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
MPA chose to bat first and managed 120/5.Their total revolved around Thongam Joychandra's knock of 61, supported by Lucky Elangbarn's 20 .
In the process, they lost a wicket each to Khumuk-cham Romesh Singh, Malesh Kumar Ngangbam and Rajkumar Thapa.
In reply, THAU fell short of the target after they were bowled out in 19.3 overs for 107 .
Barun Ngangom (32), Ahanthem Bikramjit (22) and N Surash (15) were the main run-getters in their futile run chase.
For MPA, Vivekraj Chabungbam was the pick of the bowlers with 4 scalps as Thongam Joychandra and Elangbam Rohit Singh grabbed 2 wickets apiece, and Chingtham Albish Singh bagged one to help their side seal the victory.
NCA registered a 9-run success against OSCAR at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Imphal.
Electing to bat, NCA made 154/1 courtesy of Moirangthem Karamachand Singh (70 retired hurt), Angom Robinhood Singh (30 not out), Bobby Yumnam (29 not out), and Roshan Konthoujam (10), who fell to Sorokhaibam Samson Singh's bowling.
In their response, OSCAR put up a spirited fight but they came up short as they stalled at 145/5 in the allotted 20 overs as efforts from Sanjit Thounaojam (40), Pawankumar Wahengbam (29), Ringku Kangujam (18), Laishram Paul Meitei (16 not out) and Thomas Maisnam (10) went in vain.
For NCA, Pukhrambam Hilbert Singh took 2 wickets while Shinoj Khwairakpam, L Sadananda, Angom Robinhood Singh and Thokchom Sushil Singh each got one wicket in their win.
