Kho-Kho: Manipur boys win gold; girls bag silver

Even as Manipur girls settled for silver, the State boys' team emerged winner of the 2nd North East Zone Junior Kho-Kho Championship 2024-25 in Tinsukia, Assam.
At the Dighal Haku Goan Playground in Makum, Tinsukia, Manipur boys beat host Assam 32-28 in the final to lift the title.
Arunachal Pradesh was placed in the 3rd position.
In the girls' category, Assam defeated Manipur 42-32 in the final.
Tripura was placed in the 3rd position.
Earlier in the boy's semi final, Manipur beat Tripura 42-16 to reach the final.
Assam beat Arunachal 18-16 to clash against Manipur.
In the girls' semi-finals, Manipur beat Tripura 26-6 and Assam beat Meghalaya 34-8 .
In the boys' category, Manipur's Th Premchand was named the best player.
Kh Rakesh of Manipur was declared the best defender, and Assam's Pabitra Das was named the best attacker.
In the girls' category, Assam's Rimpi Hira was named the best player.
Assam's Mosumi Boro was named the best defender and Manipur's N Elli Devi was declared the best attacker.
The championship was held from March 24 to March 26 .
