Manipur Hockey condemns attack on president's house

Imphal, July 18 2024: Expressing concern over the attack on the house of Khoirom Loyalakpa, Manipur Hockey president and editor/publisher of the local daily 'Naharolgi Thoudang', Manipur Hockey on Thursday urged all to shun violence and address differences through discussion.

In a press release, Manipur Hockey urged people to "resist this unprovoked attack" while also urging everyone to avoid using violence and instead seek to resolve any issues through dialogue.

Strongly condemning the attack, the state hockey said, "The only course of action is dialogue; intimidation and violence have no place in our society.

We ask that the matter be settled amicably" .

Khoirom Loyalakpa's house in Kontha Khabam Lai Haraobam was attacked by an unidentified armed individual on Tuesday at around 12 am .
