4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy : T Vikash blazes 147 to see PCC crush SU by 156 runs

Takhelmayum Vikash blazed an unbeaten 54-ball 147 and Longjam Gibson grabbed four wickets to help PCC-Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi crush Sagolband United (SU) by 156 runs in a Group B tie of the ongoing 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy at Moijing Public Ground.
T Vikash clobbered 11 sixes and 14 fours on the way to his 147, the highest by any batter this season and Thokchom Anand assisted him with an unbeaten 39-ball 72 (4 fours and 5 sixes) to guide PCC, who opted to bat first, to a huge total of 250/2 .
Longjam Gibson (4/9), Chingakham Ranjan (2/19) and Thokchom Anand (2/11) of PCC then gave SU batters a hard time and eventually bowled them out for just 94 runs in 19 overs for the third straight Group B victory.

Loitongbam Naoton 26 and Takhellambam Herojit 24 were the main run getters for SU in the chase after Herojit had fetched the wickets of the PCC openers to finish with the bowling figures of 2/43 in 4 overs. T Vikash was eventually adjudged man of the match.
At Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground, NAPSA-Kha Imphal who suffered defeats in the last two Group A ties, bounced back with a slender 5-run victory over KCDO-Kongpal.
H Boney 41 and Tongbram Dhanakuber 24 led NAPSA to a total of 121 runs for 8 wickets after they opted to bat first and held KCDO to 116 for 8 .
Md Ziour Rahman 3/22, Lucky Thokchom 2/17 and Ksh Devendro 2/9 of KCDO did well to restrict NAPSA batters but their batters too failed to handle the concerted bowling efforts of NAPSA bowlers.
Bikram Phamdom 29 and Md Ajizur Rahman 29 were the main run getters for KCDO as Nepram Richer 2/20 and Tongbram Dhanakuber 2/22 of NAPSA shared four wickets and four other bowlers picked up a wicket apiece.
Heisnam Boney who scored 41 and picked one wicket was adjudged man of the match.
In another Group B match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, YWC-Langthabal posted their third win in four matches by beating SHADOW-Thangmeiband by 6 wickets.
Ngangbam Bishwash (3/16) led YWC-L in limiting toss winners SHADOW to 91/7 before Heisnam Manikanta scored a 46-ball 51 to guide YWC-L to winning 92 within 14.2 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
RK Nishikanta of SHADOW picked two wickets but in a lost cause as their total was too small to YWC-L .
In a Group C tie staged at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, WYC-Patsoi sealed a 5-wicket victory over YAC-Yaiskul.
YAC added 163 runs for three wickets thanks to an unbeaten 71 by Monjit Loushambam and W Indrakumar's 31 but YWC-P rode on M Thoungamba's unbeaten 41, Johnson Lai's 31 and Laikhuram Jagat's 28 to ease to winning 166 with 5 wickets and 2 balls left to spare.
YAC's Singhajit 2/32 and Priyokumar 2/31 picked two wickets apiece but could not contain YWC-P's late onslaught.
Blue Hawk-Khurai in the meantime climbed to second in Group D by beating PSC-Khuyathong by 101 runs for the third straight victory at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Mintu Chandra's quickfire 68 off 38 balls, Mutum Sudhir's 26-ball 54 and Dijen Naorem's 33 fired Blue Hawk to a commanding total of 198/6 after winning the toss and opting to bat first.
The innings saw Laimayum Prasantajit Sharma and Tongbram Sagar claiming two wickets apiece.
In the chase, N Jackiechan 2/16 and Semsom Soibam 2/24 led Blue Hawk in bundling out PSC for 97 runs in 19.1 overs.
Four other bowlers also picked a wicket apiece to set up the PSC collapse.
